Freedom from Listening Devices – SCIA
Dangers of Listening Devices
It’s becoming increasingly easy for unwanted parties to eavesdrop on your private conversations with advanced, difficult to find devices concealed in any number of places. Offices are a likely target, but vehicles and homes are also at risk. Advanced listening devices are easy to buy online and only take minimal technological expertise to install. With escalating threat levels driven, the protection of your delicate information is a job for an expert.
SCIA looks after your business and personal security with our range of advanced technical and physical counter-surveillance techniques. We’ve worked with governments, corporations, executives and private individuals and have a comprehensive understanding of how listening devices work, and how to detect and eliminate them.
What You Can Do
If you suspect there may be listening devices installed in your home or office, the following procedures should be conducted:
- Call SCIA from a safe and secure location, such as a phone booth, away from the suspected threat.
- Avoid discussing significant or sensitive matters in the area surrounding the suspected threat until our experts are able to confirm the room or phone line is safe.
- Our operatives will arrange a private, secure meeting and conduct a risk assessment before deciding on a plan of action.
- When it’s time to enter the premises and detect any listening devices that may be present, SCIA will take care of a cover story to ensure the operation remains covert.
- Our team will find and remove any listening devices and use our advanced GPS tracking devices to locate the source of the threat.
- In a secure follow-up meeting, SCIA will debrief you and recommend strategies to ensure your security continues to be maintained.
Maintaining Security
After inspecting and removing any listening devices on your premises, SCIA may suggest installing cameras, back to base alarms or electronic bug detection monitoring systems that can be installed in your home or office. We also generally recommend conducting regular inspection, every 4 to 6 months for corporate entities and every 6 to 10 months for private clients.
